hi, new here... did a search but couldnt find similar thread...
My question is this, My system only contains an ATI Radeon4850 at the moment....
so if I add an Nvidia card, Can I use the Nvidia for Octane processing & still use the ATI to display the rendering to monitors?
or does the Nvidia card need to/can only display the rendering process ?
thanks
Keith

Hi,
It depends, we've had reports of people who cannot use octane while having a 2nd Nvidia GPU for octane and an ATI card driving the monitor/display.
There are incompatibilities between both drivers, as octane uses OpenGL together with Cuda which has issues with ati drivers.
If it does'nt work, you might have to either connect your monitor to the Nvidia GPU, or buy a small, cheap Nvidia GPU to drive your monitor.

no problem, you can activate your license any time at your leisure, there's no time-limit for activation.Keith wrote:thanks for the quick reply.... cant wait to try this out.... Although I purchased, I will only request the license when I decide on system config (or even new system) ciao.
