I've been having the weirdest error for the last 10 minutes - been trying to fix it without success so far.
I started a render and my monitor (21:9) turned off after 5 mins.
When I returned and wanted to see how the render was resolving I could only see Poser amd the OctaneRender-viewport / menu was gone - although it was rendering in the background.

ALT-TAB or anything the like didn't work to bring it back.
Also when clicking in Render --> OctaneRender iI'm getting the message "Error - OctaneRender Setup window already open"

Reinstalling OR didn't work either.
Anybody able to assist?

I'd appreciate it a lot.

Thanks in advance.

Paul? anybody?
This is pretty much a program-breaking bug for me.

Haven't been able to use OctaneRender since I've had this error

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Noel

What happens if you don't shut down the monitor after 5 min. and let it render?

Try deleting config.xml in user/yourname/AppData/Roaming/Poser Pro/10.
Make a backup copy before you do this.
This file contains all the preference settings of the octane plugin, including the position of the vieweport. Maybe it has gone out of bounds
Deleting the file resets everything for the plugin, so you have to set your preferences again

Thanks for your replies everybody.
A reinstall made everything work again (Poser, not Octane)

Although I really would've liked to check out wimdvb's problem solution.

Anyways - thanks again.

I guess this can be closed.

Noel - I suspect the plugin saved an invalid window position in the config file after the monitor was turned off. So Wim's suggestion should work if you encounter that issue again.
