I didn't test that on a previous version, but I found a bug when an object has a deformable binding (WSM).
If an object has "movable proxy" enabled, when I open the Octane viewport, the object doesn't move anymore (move, rotate or scale), even in the Max's viewport.
I have to disable and reenable the WSM modifier to make it works.

Okay Karba, here are the issues i told you about... in the first shot in the road, there is this weird patterns, it looks good from certain distance, in others not, the color of the footage is graded in purpose to see the problem more clear.
in the second shot, there is this weird camera shake, by the way this weird camera shake is not in the hardware preview can it be motion blur?

Could you send me a scene just with animated camera. You delete the rest of the scene?criko3d wrote:Okay Karba, here are the issues i told you about... in the first shot in the road, there is this weird patterns, it looks good from certain distance, in others not, the color of the footage is graded in purpose to see the problem more clear.

Regarding weird pattern
What geometry do you use? is it displacement? did you try to increase ray epsilon?

Hi Mr.Karba
octane2.02 becoming more unstable! I am not sure if there are some bugs cause 3dsmax crashing! But simple interior,or complex exterior scene,(of cuz without any motionblur or any new features on),it working nice for couple on mins and then crash without autosave! Also could u please fix the xref realtime rendering bug? it's an old bug since 1.18~~ Thanks

At what moment does crash happen? when you open octane viewport, when you close it, when you change materials or geometry with opened octane viewport?kevinshane wrote:Hi Mr.Karba

Is the discplacement inverted in this release?
I made a new material with a displacement map and it turned out inverted in the render. I ticked the "invert" button but nothing happened. Also nothing when changing gamma.
Only after i inverted the displacement in Photoshop and loaded the new texture it worked.
