what are the correct settings to have a correct looking gamma ?

as you can see in this image gamma is looking different everywhere.
Material preview is lookging correct as the texture file, vieport is too dark, render is too bright

Are you expecting the texture has to look the same on render and in browser preview no matter what lighting and camera response you use?
on your render the texture is under direct sun light. Of course it looks brighter and with orange tone.

I don't use 3dsmax gamma at all.

Ok Karba, as you can see mine is turned off also.
But why it looks like gamma is wrong in viewport ?
Somebody needs to do a studio setup for different scenarios of textures/colors and gamma settings.

you mean in 3dsmax viewport?
don't use 3dsmax viewport for color matching.
