This is a render I made with standard max hair&fur and octane 1.5

To make hair&fur render i need to change the render to "default scanline render" and render one frame, then without close the file change again to octane render an magically it will render the hair. You don't need to pay more for 2.0 for features that already there...

Yes, it's an old trick.
I would be happy even if in 2.0 we would not have to make that extra step with scanline.

Okay, but it does not work in my case (octane 2.0, Max 2014)
What am I doing wrong?

And, by the way, how to render hair and fur in octane 2.0 for max?

If you only need solid colored static fur, then standard hair works with Octane 2.0.
For anything other you have to buy a 500$ plugin. Ornatrix or the other .. I think it was Hair Farm?
