I did something similar a few days ago for learning how to use Forest Pack and Octane. 
. I cropped some girls out of the left-most side of the image but the concept is there.

As you would expect render times were not a problem even with PMC. I've added 4 more titans with distributed rendering so things are zippy. The plants are from here.http://www.3dmentor.ru
