ERROR "Can't read Preset file"

Hi All,

Has anyone else experienced the "Can't read preset file" in the log? Our pipeline is being crippled with this error and we have no idea why? We are using both Mac and PC, some scenes render fine on one OS and not on the other.

Does anyone has any information as to why this is happening?

could you give me more explanation why this criples your pipeline? This is not a important warning. Not related with rendering. Are you using Octane netrender? standalone 2.01 had a problem with textures and fixed.

Crippling would mean render crashes on any box we were rendering on.

Now we have updated all of our boxes with the latest standalone (2.01) and plugin (2.01.02) downloads and scenes which were lit are now showing up black. With the deletion of an existing OctaneSky in the scene, light becomes visible but in no way is it reminiscent of the previous lighting.

We are running windows 8 x64, 2x GTX 780 with latest NVIDIA driver (337.88) and Cinema 4D R15 (15.057)

Unfortunately I cannot show you before and after shots from this projects as its under NDA.

We had more luck with the 1.5 release, it seemed more stable and renders were being completed 100% of the time. The upgrade to version 2 given us these other log errors which were not previous seen in 1.5.

At your earliest convenience any help would be appreciated as we are under a looming deadline.

can you try with new version. It's for 2.02. Should resolve the problems. Also pls don't forget to update standalone 2.02
