a question:
if I load up a scene, start octane and open the view port everything is shiny and fine in (auto-)focus.
now, when I change the camera in Poser and zoom real close e.g. to a figure for some details and open the octane view port again, the camera focus isn't very 'auto', in fact, everything gets totally blurred. it's fine again when I set the focus manually, but isn't that what 'automatic' is supposed to do? :D

in other words: with 'autofocus' enabled, isn't the focus recalculated when the camera position changes?

Uwe - yes, if Autofocus is enabled, the camera focus distance will be recalculated each time you move the camera. I'm not sure the Octane auto-focus formula, but it generally focuses on the element directly in front of the camera, so if you subject is off-center, it will be out of focus if auto-focus is enabled.
