I'm a big fan of Octane and thought it would be amazing to extend my Mac Pro with additional CUDA GPUS. So I bought the Netstor NA255A - only to find that the Mac PCIe system doesn't have enough resource. I put two GTX 780s in the case (fully expecting to add more at a later date) only to find the Mac can only see one of them.

There are rumours that the situation might be solved with the next update to OS X - but I'll believe it when I see it. In the mean time, if anyone's looking at one of those systems they're great - as long you're not on a Mac.

All the kit has now been returned to the vendors. Anyone got any bright ideas for adding doe GPU power to a 2010 Mac Pro? (That doesn't involve buying a PC)

Is the limitation the result of the Mac Pro's hardware or just the OS? Did you try running the Nestor on Windows through bootcamp?

No, I don't run Windows so never checked. Oh well, doesn't sound like OS X 10.9.4 solves the issue either.
