Hi all,
I'm playing with new Octane 2 & C4D plugin before buying. Really amazed with the results and speed also.

I've noticed that the "Gpu Loading"'s are different from scene to scene, even frame to frame during render. Between 40-80% Usually 55%
I dont mean to comapre iray vs octane but with my iray demo test; it gpu load is at 99% independent of scenes.
Something wrong with my hardware or drivers ?

I have a single Titan and use Gpu-Z for monitoring.

Have a good weekend you all

I'm not familiar with the C4D plugin, but it sound's like you have the render priority turned on? Render priority is nice for single GPU systems as it throttles Octane down so the computer is more responsive for other programs and the OS. In this way you can be rendering a long animation or image and still use the system for something else. There was an issue with the demo that set render priority to 50% by default, you might be using that version. I pretty sure that that has been fixed in the latest version.

Thanks..
I have latest versions for both Octane and the C4D plugin.
unchecking "render priority" worked. Now gpu works full throttle.
the default value is checked and low priority. I'd thought that it was only for multi gpu systems and let the one gpu free for better viewport performance.
Thanks for your help
