I´m trying really hard to use octane as my first render engine, but this thing doesn´t worked properly for me so far, always when I have several materials on my scene the textures starts to disapier from nothing and I cant find a way to put them back.

Please what I´m doing wrong, or is this an issue with octane itself???

This project is sort of special because the deadline is near, please help me!!

The image below shows the normal texture of the tiles going nuts and the material setup on the right side.

Anyone? Specially from otoy???

Other than that, I can´t use lights too, when I turn them on they just don´t do a thing, alsto the rest of the lamps in blender don´t seem to have any effect on the scene, what is happening??

I have downloaded the latest version of Octane and the Octane for blender( the latest version for 1.x).

Please someone help me here, I think that someone from the development could give me a light about this two problems that I having, I really have to finish this for today to render everything for tomorrow, and Im kind of stuck, specially with the lights right now.

What should I do?

Yes, I think tha it is, I applyed all the scale on the scene, I started new scenes and none showed the lights, I added lamps and also it didn't worked, with the black body emiter I had the same result, I have an GTX 660ti.

Here is a simple example, anyone can help here?

I think that Octane is just broken and I waisted a week of work on it, and I ll have to tell that to my client.

You can't connect an emission node to output. Connect the emission node to the emission input of a diffuse material and then to surface.

Ok, thanks, I will try that, also when you put a lamp on the scene i just doesn't work, so I'll probably have to do that too then... This is a really weird way to do something like that.

Thanks again!

I have tried, but this doesnt seem to work with lamps right? You can only project shadows with planes on octane for now apparently, is that right?

It is not weird. You have a material, with its own color, and you add an emission to it, that can have its own color etc ... it's quite logical.

And Normal Blender lights do not work in octane, only the sun as far as I know. This is all in the manual somewhere I think.

For me is totally weird, because even on cycles we don´t have this sorts of things, its kind of not what other programs usually do, at least not the ones i´m familiar with, and I hope they fix the lamps someday.

Thanks.
