Since I upgraded to the 2.0 standalone and plugin, whenever I start Max on my laptop it crashes right away with an unexpected error if my network cable is unplugged. If the Ethernet cable is plugged in Max starts fine and Octane runs.

This will be a problem whenever I go mobile and untethered from the Internet. The laptop is running 3DS Max 2011 64 bit on Windows 8.1.
