Howdy,
could someone remind me how i can have 2 versions of octane running with 2 different versions of ds4, on the same computer.
I'd like to install the current octane for the current ds
and the previous octane version on the beta ds4.
I seem to remember this was possible, but i can't find the post anymore.
Thanks,
Elele.

I have a question in the same vein as this thread.. I have seen t_3's directions regarding copying the daz directory and etc linked above, but I would like to make sure that what I want to do is exactly possible and allowed by the license... I apologize if this is obvious or has been answered previously, I can't find it.
I currently run the 1.2 version of the DAZ plugin and of Octane... If I *upgrade* my plugin/standalone licenses to the 2.1 version, can I copy my daz directory and still run the old 1.2 plugin for one copy and the 2.1 plugin for the other (on the same computer, and not at the same time). Basically, does upgrading my license still allow me to switch back and forth between running an older and newer version, or do I need to purchase a completely new set of plugin/standalone licenses to do something like that?
Thanks in advance!

I think what they care most about with the license is you only use the license for one computer at a time. I don't think they really care about which version you are using assuming you have a license for that version.
Currently I have 1.0, 1.2 and 2.x all at the same time on my computer. 3 Different daz installations because 95%+ of my work is in 1.0. I recently started some new work in 2.x, but decided to use 1.2 for a bit because 2.x is broken when it comes to animiation.
But the important thing is I only use one at a time obviously
So Otoy could care less.

Thank you so much, larsmidnatt, for your quick response. I take your meaning to be that you are able to run all three versions of the DAZ plugin on one computer with just one plugin and one standalone license (presumably an upgraded 2.x license). That was just what I was trying to confirm, thanks again!larsmidnatt wrote:I think what they care most about with the license is you only use the license for one computer at a time.
