Hi Bro,
If you use orbit tool or other SU tool that only change the camera position or direction, sometimes the interface seems to freeze for few seconds, and the message "Compiling Octane Geometry..." is displayed in the SU status bar.
Why the geometry has to be recompiled if only the camera change ? or may this be done in background without blocking the SU actions ?
Maybe there is a possible improvement here.

Hi Pascal,
The reason of scene being compiled on camera orbit is that you might have geometry that is facing camera (like Derrick or Lucy sprite-models). That is, when camera is rotated the geometry is rotated as well which needs recompilation of the scene.
