Here is an scene rendered directly through Octane 1.53 & 2.00
From the new features it was used only round edges.

Octane 1.53 (export 3dsmax with 2.0 plugin)

Octane 2.00 (export 3dsmax with 2.0 plugin)

4.76 Ms/sec

Octane 1.53 (export 3dsmax with 1.53 plugin)

hey!
i would not wonder if this comes due the usage of the rounded-Edges... - would be interesting to see if the speed is same when u turn that feature off! - and also would like to hear an admins voice about that!

Surely the rounded edges impacted the render.

With rounded edges:
Octane 2.00 (export 3dsmax with 2.0 plugin)
636/16000 s/px
4.76 Ms/sec

No new features:
Octane 1.53 (export 3dsmax with 1.53 plugin)
976/16000 s/px
7.47 Ms/sec

The strange part comes when i use Octane 2.0 but the export had been done with 1.53 plugin (no new features).
Octane 2.00 (export 3dsmax with 1.53 plugin)
751/16000 s/px
5.78 Ms/sec

Was the diffuse and specular depth setting the same in all renders? I noticed that the default for 2.0 is — diffuse:8, specular:24. Whereas 1.5 was — diffuse:12, specular:12.

yep default values differ also in V1.16 vs 1.18!

It was used Path Tracing with max depth 16.

By the way... I love the new features and the Dev team made wonders with the new release!!!
