Hi

This is general question about the Pathtrace/PMC renderer in comparison to how other renderers work. I have noticed that other renderers such as Maxwell render use softer sampling across scenes and wonder is this to do with the algorithm or if this kind of thing can be applied. Generally I think that if the noise if not so strict across scene, where you may have quite a clear picture but some areas remain noisy, then if the sampling is softer it would result in being less noticable and scenes may have less samples overall.

Thanks

I love octane just wish low light scenes would have less noise or at least an option to average the noise and blur it out
