Does Octane run on a machine without cuds cards. I know it will not render... but will it open and import geom hook up shaders etc.

I ask cause I wonder if I can set up a render on another cuds based machine then open it on a non cuds based machine but tell some slaves on the network to render it...

Why... some times I travel with my air book and wonder if I can set some renders on salves while I am gone?

Weird request but worth a shot

You could always try VNC/RDP into your CUDA machine - It will rely heavily on your network speed; but so long as you're only tweaking a few materials & checking its progressing OK before disconnecting it should work nicely(ie. not doing an geometry manipulation)
