Hi people
Is there a way to align vertical lines on octane, like "vertical shift" on vray?
I tried lens shift but without success...
Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot

Hey Fábio
you need to use Octane Camera
and you have there lensShift X and Y, use small increments of 0.1 (+ or -, depending on the shift you need)
that is if you need shifting lens up or down.
but if you only need vertical lines just make shure that your camera and your target has the same height (z value) and all vertical lines will be vertical.
P.S There is no magic button for this one.

Thx lixai
I already use octane camera
But the lens shift just move the image up and down, and from one side to another, not the perspective of the lines...
Maybe i am doing it wrong... when i increment the lens shift in "y" the camera moves and i loose the perspective i was aiming for...
I will try it once again, but for me it would be easier if we have the correct line compensation, without the moving of the camera...
Just a thought.
Cheers

Fábio if you want vertical lines to stay vertical make shure the targer of the camera and the camera have the same height.
use a side/front camera, and align the target and the camerra to have the exact same height.
When you come back to octane camera you will have vertical lines.
hope that helps

I will try to maintain the camera and the target at the same height in the future... but sometimes my clients demand camera location in small ambients, and i am obligated to focus the target down, to be able to see the whole scene...
It would be very helpful if i could adjust the vertical lines, without losing the targets location... probably i am doing something wrong.
