Motion Blur from Spinning Object?
Moderators: ChrisHekman, aoktar
Hey! I am creating an animation where a helicopter flies overhead and everything is looking GREAT, except Im not sure how to get motion blur from the rotors so that it looks blurry in the animation. I have them rotating, is there a way to make the motion blur in Octane, or is this done in After Effects?
do you have 2.0?

it can do all features which are write downbarant wrote:I have the 2.0 Standalone, but not the 2.0 plugin for c4d. (Can the 2.0 c4d beta mentioned in the other forum post do this?)

Wow, the motion blur works great! I'm not sure how it would work in this particular scenario:
I have a moving camera (pan) and an animated object moving across the x-plane. The camera motion blur plugin works for the moving subject fine. However, when I have an animated rotor spinning, the "object" blur does not work on this animation. It seems as if I can only get motion blur to work on a camera blur.

there is many samples for all mblurs. Best to read motion blur section on manual.

I read the manual regarding motion blur, I have unchecked enable camera blur and have put an object tag on my rotor and have tried numerous values for subdivision for trying to get a subframe blur. I can not get the subframe blur to work. Does it require anything other than the object tag and adding Octane to the render settings while adding enable full motion blur? I am trying to view it in the Cinema Picture Viewer.
ok, i understand wrong. You are trying with 1.5x and subframe moblur. This not requires any special settings. Only add a sub-frame moblur videopost effect and render.
