Hi all,
I have a main gtx260 and a secondary gtx480. the main is for win 7(64) os display (that's where the monitor is connected) and the gtx480 should be for octane.
right now with the cuda-z tool i see that both cards are recognized/detected.
in the octane demo i only am able to use the 260. there is a red message saying to deactivate sli, but i cannot find any option in the nvidia configuration. i have disabled physx.
so anyone has an idea what to do?
thanks in advance
chris
how to use 2 cards?

hi,
if octane does not see your second GPU, try with physX enabled.

i turned physx on for the 480 and it works now
thx
one follow up question though: when i use multiple (both) cards in the device manager the status msg under the render viewport window reports the same value as when i only use the 260 (but still reporting working in multiple gpu mode). is that right? i was expecting a higher (sum of 260 + 480 or so)number. it does not matter which of the two cards is the first in the device manager setup. its always reporting as if only the lower (260) was beeing used.
the speed with the 480 is amazing btw. great work! you guys will change the rendering landscape forever!!!
