Where is the manual to this plug in? I've looked all around and all I can find is how to install it.
I can't figure out if the behavior I am seeing is correct. Nor can I figure out what I am supposed to do to get a scene to render.

There are some quirks so the behaviour you are seeing may be 'correct' inasmuch as that is what the program does, even if it is not correct. Which doesn't really help you! Generally things work ok with the plug-in and to get a render all you need do is get the OcDS viewport visible - (you should have two menu entries under Render, one for the OcDS 'control panel' and one for the viewport which is the render window.

Viewport comes up. Orange bar cycles across the top. And nothing else.

What is pissing me off is I paid $400 for something that doesn't work. And I have no method to figure out if it is because I am missing something. Or if the thing is just broken.
For $120 the plug in should at least have basic instructions.

Hi Jason,
There is a limited manual here:
http://render.otoy.com/manuals/DazStudio
Can you please post some screen-shots of what you are getting?
Thanks
Chris.

This is what I am getting. Nothing. Just a viewport window with a cycling orange bar. I've left it like this for almost a half hour. I've tried with as simple a scene as I could. I've added lights. I've made sure there are no lights. I've added cameras. I've made sure there are no cameras.
Yet its always the same cycling result.
Where is the manual? A getting started? A simple description of the menus? I have no idea what I missing here.
For software this expensive... There should be SOME documentation.

From my post on the General Questions thread:
Okay, so I installed. I activated. I have the plug in in my DAZ list and is listed as loaded.
I can and an Octane tab to one of my windows. I can see the Octane functions. Have no idea what any of these settings are.
OctaneLive tab. Even though it's activated, I see a big red X. Even though I am connected, the OctaneLive Connection is red and appears to be "unconnected." No idea if this is the correct appearance or not.
I can set up a very basic scene. I hit viewport.
I get a new window, with an orange progress bar (I presume) cycling across the top of the window. Which never stops cycling. And nothing ever appears in the viewport.

Needless to say, I am pissed at the moment.
I've spent hours experimenting. And hunting through the forum. And being generally disappointed with nothing to show for it but a big bill.
I have no idea if this lack of progress is because of my hardware, my installation, my use of the program, or some fault in the program itself.
I should have known better when there was no trial available for this plug in. But not even in my wildest imagination could I have expected it to be this unfinished.

And I have sent two replies. After wasting five hours on this software, I am eager to hear something.
