I have a problem with some options of Octane 1.5 when I open an Octane 1.2 file.
I applied a diffuse blackbody emission material to two light panels ticking "matte" option, but their reflection and the lights disappear in Octane 1.5.
I have to make a turntable, so the camera has a near clip of 50 to hide the panels when it's behind the object.
Opening the same file, there are two different results:

Could someone explain that?

Thank you,

You applied the matte option to the light material?

Don't do that. the matte option is for an object that you want to turn into a shadow catcher material. So you can add a floor plane below an object and apply the matte to the floor and it will only receive shadows and will be transparent where there are no shadows.

I have to hide light panels like in Octane 1.2!! Why do they remove this feature in 1.5!?!?! How can I hide light sources?!

Why you don't use opacity or visibility instead of matte ?

Because if I remove the opacity, lights effects disappear and there aren't reflections too :(

Yep I've made a mistake for the opacity but in this case unchecking camera visibility is the best way to solve your problem...

here is a quick test with glossy mat on a sphere
