Does the output folder exist ? If not, the batch render will execute but no image will be written.
1. Have you checked the "change names to unique" checkbox
2. Does your image file directory exist?
3. you can't put more than one subdirectory to the image directory e.g: //images/render/
4. Do you use render layers. I abandoned them, there was too much problems with.
5. Is it just with pmc kernel or also with the other kernels?
6. DO you use a rendering manager like deadline or so?
7. You should enable the "full verbose mode" in the render settings to check what is wrong.
Hope it helps.

Thanks guys for your support!
so I only have this issue with PMC, same scene, same settings, just changing the kernel to PMC brakes the batch. Path trace and Direct light render without problems...(a part the fact that the batched images are flipped vertically...not a big deal). I checked the verbose mode and it doesn't output anything in maya's script editor or output window. I have two Octane licenses, a private one and one in the office and both have this problem.
I assume guys you can render without any problem with PMC, can't you?
PS...Anyways the deadline is tonight...we had to work over the week end with the path trace kernel and output noisy images...It is not so urgent anymore but annoying anyway

Hi Mauriko,
hope you got your job sorted ok.
I get the flipped image too.
Also, in PMC mode, the render gets to 99 out of 100 or 999 out of 1000 etc. and stops.
I can manually stop the render and keep the image, but the render doesn't report a 'finish' as such.
No issue with Path Tracing.
I also had issues with dissolve noise in PMC.
Didn't get a response to this on the forum unfortunately.
cheers,
Steve
