Hello everybody!
After reading the forum threads and googling a lot there is still an open question for me: how to make ALEMBIC in Max for use with standalone?
I've tried japanise plugin from here http://www.dfx.co.jp/dftalk/?p=5916 and got a ABC file which can be opend in standalone but without materials separation and cameras. So, in this post I offer to share with experience of possible workflow with export Alembic from Max to standalone.

EDIT: Ignore me, apparently .orbx is supported since 1.53. Downloading and installing now!

Any update on the likely arrival time of a MAX -> Octane exporter (presumably .orbx?) ?
This is currently a major blocker on my workflow, to the point that I'm considering swapping my Autodesk subscription over to Maya to get access to the Maya .orbx export!

OK, I've now tested the export from Max, and it's great!
Only one issue - it seems that it only exports a single camera?
Is there any way to export multiple cameras without exporting the scene multiple times? I've tried exporting them through Exocortex Crate, but sadly it only recognises standard MAX cameras, not Octane ones...

It is quite complicated to export multiple cameras in 3dsmax plugin with current workflow.thenomad wrote:OK, I've now tested the export from Max, and it's great!
