Hi everyone,
I'm new to Octane and using it for some mograph work and compositing in After Effects.
I want to easily get material mattes in my EXR renders, but it seems I can only get a "material color" pass with a unique RGB for each material. Although this is cool, it is next to impossible to composite well because the anti-aliasing between each color screws up getting a clean matte.
Is there any way to render out a Material ID channel from C4D Octane into an EXR? Am I missing it, or is it a feature that just hasn't been introduced?
Thanks,
Ian

So is it a problem with writing to a Material ID channel in an EXR, or a problem with C4D? Obviously Octane can identify the materials without a problem. Is there no way to format the EXR channel properly, so we can composite with it?
Thanks,
Ian
