maybe i didnt get it yet. but is there any information on when there will be a new release planned for c4d. 1.53 or even 2.0?

yes will be a 1.53 release with some fixes. But it delayed little, need some tests. Also 2.0 is under beta testing.

Yes realtime, but c4d shaders are converted to images on the fly. If you don't use them so big, can work very fast.

no i dont think so… (reinhard) colormapping is more than just simple exposure control
it lets you fix / tune the exposure / light reception in another way.
it is really a handy thing on vray. helps to tune the image much more easily
than changing lights and camera exposure… see the examples below.
