Hi Not sure if you tried 2015 max but 2014 with octane view open makes viewport unusable with 1 fps even if I disable 1 out of 2 titans or pause octane viewport; plus all mix materials in viewport cannot show textures just black. If you have 2015 max please let me know if viewport performance is better Thank you.
Sometimes it seems to me that my old gtx 560 has better viewport performance in max than gtx titan especially timeslider is very slow !!!
And it takes 20 min to load 3.5 mil pol scene to octane preview window. used to take like a minute with 1.2 ver ?

I'd say SLI is turned on cause I got something similar with 580 and 590 gtx.. slower viewport no matter what GPU is turned off, 2015v is not out yet

thanks for reply. I checked sli is disabled. but I also uninstalled 1.5a and installed 1.2 It takes 10 minutes to open Octane preview in 1.5a and around a minute to open octane preview in 1.2 ver

It is the same for me...
I installed 1.5a version, and had to go back to 1.2 version...
The lag time opening the scenes render is unviable...
Beta testers, how is it working on Octane 2.0? Is the same?
I am a little worried right now about this issue.

Thanks for a reply
This is what Karba told me "The main reason of open time increasing is Octane recognizes object render settings (like subdivision, mesh/turbo smooth and so on)
Probably some objects have too high render settings (like too many iterations in mesh smooth)."

But I checked my scene and I got no mesh or turbo smooth. I do have iToo trees but 1.2 opens Octane preview in less than a minute where 1.5a takes 10. So iToo is not the problem. Not sure why 1.5a takes a lot longer. Hopefully 2.0 will remove that problem

That was what i'm talking about in another section post here, 1.5a seems way too slow to open the render viewport comparing to 1.2 .
I don't set up anything into my model since that model just imported from sketchup to 3DS max.
I'm reverting back to 1.2 now, I have got around 5-6 million polygons model and in just 1 minute to open viewport with 1.2, and it will take almost an hour or so with 1.5a.
