Vlad - thank you for the additional info and test scene.
If you rename the UV map Vertex Map to Texture, then delete the Octane Override it works as expected.
Modo701 always named the UV Verte Map "Texture" whereas 801 is doing something different. I will fix this.

Vlad - on closer inspection, this is all working OK for me. Are you sure you have the Cylinder material group selected when you are creating the Octane Override?

This workflow does not work - because Modo is not copying all the child items. This is limitation of Modo - and extends to it's own nodal material system (drag a Modo Material into the schematic, cannot some modes, then transfer the mesh item to another scene - the Modo Material items plugged into the schematic do not get copied).Here is my Modo workflow:
Step 1: Open a scene with octane materials overrides defined.
Step 2: Select the Items I want to transfer into the new scene and drag them into the new scene tree.
Step 3: A dialog window appears and asks if I want to transfer childerns and shaders. I answer Yes Please
Step 4: I check the shader tree and all the items from the previous scene are there.
Step 5: I open Octane render viewport, the octane overides materials are not working, color is default difusse.
An execption dialog appears with the message : No workspace could be found for this Octane Override. Click 'Edit in Schemetic" to create a workspace.
I will post a bug report to TheFoundry on this.

Hi Paul,
I have not transfered any material in the cylinder scene. All materials and octane over-writes are made in modo. I manually renamed the uv map, but i had the same issue of not loading the the texture. Somewhere is a glitch. I will inspect it closer and come with some more feedback.

I have investigated this some more - and you are correct. This is a bug in Modo. To reproduce it outside the Octane plugin:I have not transfered any material in the cylinder scene. Code: Select all
1) Add Cylinder
2) M->Cylinder
3) Add Layer->Textures->Wood
4) Rightclick Wood->Bake To File
5) Add Layer->Image Map->Use clip browser->select file from 4)
6) Untick Wood visibility
7) Render in Modo renderer - texturemap correctly displayed
8) Save As test.lxo
9) Revert
10) Render in Modo renderer - texturemap LOST
Thanks for reporting this issue and persisting with me reproducing the problem.

Octane plugin is causing an issue in 801 when loading BVHs as actors. I have some files here you can test:
http://cdn.perfume-global.com/launch/sw ... hfiles.zip
1. Go to the setup tab > actors and sets > actors > New (hold this button) > Create from BVH
2. Select aachan.bvh
It takes a very long time to load if octane plugin is enabled. When disabled modo loads it in a couple of seconds.

I have now marked this thread and the 1.52.0.64 release as STABLE. For TEST releases, pls refer to http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=39798.
