File/Reset makes the plugin popup with a warning.

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:

1.52.0.64
- The plugin now works correctly with Modo801 (removed error popping up when opening the Viewport, and corrected the color conversions)
- Added Preference "Rightclick Viewport to open Control Panel" - enable to stop the Viewport Controls panel opened when the Viewport is open (and rightclick the viewprt instead to pop them up)
- Added the Viewport controls to the Setup panel

I have just re-uploaded 1.52.0.64 due to a build error with the first version. Pls re-download and install 1.52.0.64.

Hi Paul,
I have license question.
Otoy said that we will get 1 plugin free upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0 does this policy stick with modo plugin? I plan to upgrade to octane 2.0 and since i've supported beta development I beleive it is fair to get the 2.0 modo to octane plugin included.

Cheers,
Vlad

Hi Vlad. I don't know the answer to your question, however Otoy will provide specific upgrade details priority to the release of Octane 2.0.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply.

Back to the plugin :)

1.Can you make a special preview modo for defining materials as octane stand alone has. It will be faster to define materials.
Is this implemented already?

2. Is there a reset to defaults settings button on the plugin parameters ?

Not easy to do within the constraints of the Modo API. The best option would be a mode where the currently selected material shows the preview in the OctaneRender Viewport. Not sure if this would be useful to people or not...
2. Is there a reset to defaults settings button on the plugin parameters ?
Which parameters are you trying to reset?

Hi Paul,

My idea is to have button to reset the settings back to defaults octane has in modo before I do any giggling with the sliders :) (ex. camera filter, iso, exposure etc.)

Do you need this just for Imager/Camera/Postproc? I know if you add a new camera to the scene, it will have the default values. I will look to see it if is possible to have a button to do this.

I am suggesting these changes only for the octane settings. The parameters we control inside the render kernel, camera kernel.

Also some bugs in 801:

Referenced items does not appear in the render in octane.
It looks like octane plugin now does not know how to read these items.
Also when I transfer a object from a scene to an other, the octane materials are note translated. I think the groups are not copied, because I see the octane overide nodes coppied, but the I get an error that says ... Items x not found.

PS:

Thank you for the right click implementation, made me smile. :)

You code Paul,!!! ,...I mean rock... :)
