LIveDB materials usage ?

Am I (licensed customer) eligible to use those included in the product live DB materials in a commercial projects? Regardless of a scope amd nature of the progect? Are there any legal restriction? Are they royalty free for images/renders that would be transformed into video game textures or backgrounds for example?


Ask because many things that may be included as free actually maight have some restrictions

Hi Kirk, good question. The LiveDB environment in itself is trademarked and subject to the terms in our EULA, BUT... the materials uploaded to it online by Octane users are shared across the entire Octane user base and this assumes that the contributors who upload know that their materials is to be freely shared, so its contents should readily come under a creative commons license. Please take this with a grain of salt, we cannot be responsible for issues arising from the use of user-uploaded materials found on the LiveDB.
