Hi to all,

this is my first post here and my first experience in GPU render world.
I am very interested in this software but there are some things I want to know before considering a possible purchase:
do you know when it's approximately ready the final release v1.0 Studio Edition?
will be there a materials repository or a library in the final release v1.0?

Now i have a Nvidia Quadro 1800 FX 768 MB. I have not been able to try a complex scene with the demo yet, so I wanted to know if my card can be generally considered suitable and fast for highly detailed scenes of interiors.

Finally, will be made an exporter plug-in for Rhinoceros? If yes, when is it approximately ready? Is it possible to use plug-in with demo version?

Thanks in advance. Mokugino

Hi Makugino

Nope, having the words "fast" and "highly detailed" in the same sentence makes me think that you should buy nothing less than one or more 470/480 gtx.

i'd also recommend for you to get a GTX480, it's a dream card for octane.
It's a completely different experience.

I completely agree. Coming from an 8800gt to a gts250 to a gtx470 is a world of difference and I have yet to find a scene that I can't throw at the new GPU's.
System 1: EVGA gtx470 1280Mb and MSI gtx470 1280 in Cubix Xpander for Octane, AMD 945, 4Gb Ram
All systems are at stock speeds and settings.
