How do you store materials you created yourself?

Just save the desired nodes in orbx file (right click on a node). You can save from simple nodes up to large full scenes. you can even embed all materials and textures in a folder.

Hm, sounds like Standalone stuff ... I need the materials somewhere, where I can use them with the blender plugin as well ... so Live DB or so?

Can't you import macros or .orbx files into the plugin?

There is supposed to be a localDB sometime in the 2.0 pipeline, but not sure when.

Not currently for what I know.

I posted a request about that feature some time ago... wait and see...

I don't really understand you, guys.
It takes about 30-60 secs to make average material from scratch. Why do you try to make hundreds of materials for any case?

Not everyone is a nodeguru or has access to great textures and/or understands, how to properly create bumpmaps, normalmaps etc Karba. Access to a nice lib of materials is really a nice thing to have ... which is why I love LiveDB.
