could you try imagetexture?
I already did it!
Filter is not only for saturation, but to edit color curves, to fine tune colors between images maps...
Of course, I get it using photoshop, but it's very slow process. Hope you understand what I mean.

I'm still to try to work as one window. It seems to works correctly, but if I work as 4 windows (perspective, top, front, right) as usual, there is a problem in refresh screen.
If I drag any object in top view, I can see through Live view (correctly) but in top the obj remain at the same position. Then, if I zoom to full screen the top view, I see the obj in the newer position.
The same in the perspective view: if I move the camera, I can see the result ONLY in the live view, but NOT in the perspective view.
Moving in the full screen window, I can see in the live view and perspective view too.

yes, understand. But this method take some extra times, please aware of that. Viewport problem could be realted with gpu capacity or driver, i didn't worked on gtx650 and macos.

Hi,

seems, that I have major problems with 1.52.
Previews in Mat-Editor are not showing up when loading a bitmap
via imagetexture in diffuse.
When checking and unchecking a few times f.e. bump or spec-channel, then
the imagetexture sometimes appears in preview window and sometimes not.

Haven'd had this prob with 1.32.
I'm the only one having this problem?

Can you show me a video capture or something? does console window has some output?

Hi miohn,
Go into your octane settings, then paths.
Make sure the directory for the texture you want is listed.

Little update on the texture preview issue.
It seems that if I move the float slider, the preview will turn to light gray.
Then moving the float slider again will restore the correct preview.

hmm, but if filename has absolute path like (C:\textures\metal\chrome1.jpg), it should be seen in material. If it's like that "chrome1.jpg", plugin looks firstly to project path, tex path, subfolders of project path and last checkes the search paths

Just did three screen captures. Check out the float values.
Preview_1, texture shows
Preview_2, texture not showing
Preview_3, texture returns

Is there something wrong on my end?

this is expected behaviour: www.aoktar.com/diffuse-tweak.mp4

why you have setted to float 1.0? Float value only works when you have no colors and texture.
Here, i couldn't get same effect. But i see you are working on untitled scene with relative texture file. In this situation, octane cannot know where is the project folder. This may be your problem
