This is great news that displacement mapping will be supported.

I believe now is the time to work with Pixologic to get a Goz port to Octane when the iron is hot!

How do we know if our plugin is 1st or 3rd party? Which is Lightwave?

Hm, 99 US$ for 2.0 and plugin upgrade is ok... Hobbyist acceptable price so we can join the merry 2.0 band, too.

on gpu renderers, there is no compatitor which has all these features, price and so much plugins

I'd say on the list of important things for me, there's Network rendering.... then network rendering and network rendering.
