'cos I own 670 (rather then 680) the answer is straigt forward - 780 (no need to overpay for difference You'll not notice, unless You have money to waste =)

I'm confused, are you talking about a 780 6 GB or a 780 Ti? I know there is announced plans for a 780 6GB but a 780 Ti? Why?

A Titan Black is basically a regular Titan and a 780 Ti combined. That's why I don't understand reading rumors of a possible 780 Ti 6GB coming out when in reality there already is one, ala Titan Black.

Unless you need the VRAM I don't see the need for a Titan. If your scenes don't have tons of textures and you don't run 4k monitors like nobody's biz then why pay for the added cost? Speed is more important to me than available scene memory north of 3 GB.

Eh ... a Titan Black and a 780 Ti have the same number of CUDA cores, they're in fact the very same GPU chip, the GK110 Kepler GPU. The only difference is, that the 780 Ti has the DP (Dual Precision Float Numbers) part of it crippled and that the Titan Black has a tiny higher base clock, which is easily bypassed by maker-OCed 780 Tis. And if there is a 6 GB 780 Ti, the ONLY advantage of the Titan will be its DP advantage (which Octane makes zero use of, but some scientific apps like). So if you want to render with Octane purely and have no need for the DP part, you'd be throwing your money out of the window with a Titan. Don't let yourself blind by the Titan marketing name.
