I've done some testing and have not had much trouble. When loading the benchmark .ocs I did for the Rc2 (and I put in this forum) I get the wrong material, I suppose that any change in the file format.
The first thing I noticed is that now the program loads instantly in linux (bye to the 15 second wait), which is much appreciated, good work.
I have also noticed that the speed seems equal to that of the RC1 (RC2 was faster), at least in the few tests I've done (the benchmark and the scenes of chess and spaceships).

Also notice a change in the aliasing. Attach sample images. All with 500 samples

The visual change in the RC3 is quite large, at least in these examples.

Cheers

Also, when opening a saved scene, the Auto-Focus gets enabled and the focus point gets reset. I think this happened in RC2 as well.

In RC3 my two devices got swapped, so by default I have the display GPU (GT 220) enabled. This setting keeps resetting when opening a scene, so I have to change it in the Device manager everytime I open a scene and before I click on the mesh node.

(This happened in RC2 as well): when the gamma and saturation of the 'Mesh Preview Imager" are BOTH not equal to 1, near-blue colors go black (and to a lesser degree green), like nasty looking black pixels. See second and third images.
dof is circular, it's a circular aperture, there's nothing wrong with that...

about the devices, if you have 2 identical devices, we take the 2nd device.
the 2nd device is what the cuda driver gives us as device number 2, and as the cuda docs state, the order of devices returned is not always the same.
i suggest you attach your monitor to the other card, so octane uses the other one by default.
in 2.3 we'll have an app config file so you'll be able to store your setting(s).

Lines between GPU frame buffers have gone. :)
But when I changed the value of specular and roughness, they were not reflected in all GPU frame buffers.

thanks, we'll check this...
how does the scaling go with multiple cards ?

i have seen this once before yesterday.
can you try to reproduce it with various numbers of GPUs and see if there's a specific one (eg always the right side image one) ?

Im using pathtracing, but it´s really slow!!! 1.49 Megasamples

in RC2 it was ok!

Some feedback? the resolution is 1920x1080

Well... with 3 SLI GTX 480 it´s getting the same 1.49 Megasamples with pathtracing...

I would suggets if you (Radiance) could send me a octane scene for i do some tests here, than i will know if it´s my problem or octane´s problem.

Hi,

We'll look into it. it's very strange as we can't reproduce it here...
