i'm working on a set of hq (hopefully 8-)) mats for the daz plugin...
Lexi_small.jpg
using also lots of imager and postproc tweaks, a slight fog volume to lessen contrasts, 2 mesh lights (the ring "flash" reflection in the eyes is not a fake) plus sunset from the right. additional postwork in photoshop includes lab color editing, blur & downscale to 50%.

comments welcome.

what i'm rather happy with are lips (she wears lipgloss ;)), the teeth (http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 32#p173932) and the way how eye reflections work. the skin, well; i now like how it looks, but most probably it will still feel plastic when watching from a (timely) distance...
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply

ps: posting this a few posts above tonysculptor's dafoe makes me feel a bit sad ;)

the point here is that these mats should work with premade texture sets, that have much less details and are not made esp. for octane, nor is the usual geometry that detailed...

Just my 2 cents, the mouth is very nice, but the eyes are way too big.
Cheers! ;)

Octane is really fantastic in what is achievable. Here is some images of what i was able to achieve with the node structure capabilities.
