About cards: you mean 690 inside the Mac and Titan inside the expansion box? Which one do you suggest?
I could put the Titan inside, and give it external power...

Yes on OS 10.9 you have all the titan's graphic card suported.
The Titan is better , it has 6G memory.
In your mac you can't have only the GUI card bcse Octane, Davinci don't like at all that the GUI card is runing to compute.
So 1 card in mac pro to GUI only and an external card in a box to calculate.
If you are interested I have a Netstore NA211A http://www.netstor.com.tw/_03/03_02.php?OTc= available (because I have the new mac pro 2013) I've bought it 3 Weeks ago. It's in the box.
