Hi,

the autofocus for animations is a cool feature, but it sometimes changes very abruptly when targeting objects of very different distances. This makes the animation not look authentic and it looses the "analogue" feeling.
Is it possible to make the focal transition more smooth?
It would even bee a cool feature to make the focus slightly overshoot and focus back to the aimed object to get the feel of search fucussing by hand.
I made a little testrender where you can see the hard change at some points. Not even the fastest motordriven autofocuscamera is that fast ;-)

well in fact you can, before turning [on] autofocus, smoothly focus on place where autofocus will work.
And than turn it on.

There should be no difference between before and after turning autofocus on.
