It says 'Could not download "material" (error code) WARNING'. Is this perhaps due to my internet connection/speed? It has no trouble downloading in the standalone version though!
they both need rather large maps (~10mb -> top 10 biggest mats), so it probably is a timeout issue. the download (and timeout) is done directly by octane, means there is apparently sthg. different between the plugin version and the standalone (if the latter is able to dl them).

maybe it gets downloaded if you try it a few times; maps and settings are cached anyway, so you need a complete dl only once...
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply

Ah, all right! I'll try a few more times! Thank you for the help! :D

let me know if it still doesn't work; i at least can provide you the maps as dl to put them manually in the cache, and part from that need to check with the octane devs if there can be done sthg. in such cases..-

LD = Live database. So, the materials downloaded via Octane's Live Database! I believe they are created by various people and then uploaded for other Octane users. Not entirely certain what you mean by 'custom' shaders?
Ahhh, I was thinking they were materials set up in Daz Studio, and 'custom shaders' are procedural 'constructs' using the in-built shader mixer.

Any news on the geo-graft front? It's the one thing that keeps me from switching to v1.20 :|

I waded through only half of this topic, so sorry if this has already been reported.

Material tab -> Surfaces: The presets for Film Index and Index (i.e. Elements, Foods, Gasses, Liquids etc.) will set properly, but will not be remembered. Using the slider does save the setting's values, however. So'm using this work around now.

Still having a lot of fun with this new version. I get some crashes, but most of them are due to me wanting things DS cannot handle, I think. Overall it's all working smoother and faster, I'd say. Very nice job, t_3. :)

@jazbee: slowly progressing. it seems that i have managed to get material targeting stable, but need to test with some more geo grafted products to verify it.

@jools: yes, the problem with the preset values was already reported (no prob), and will be fixed with the next update.

pls, if you like write me a pm about what sort of crashes you had - could still be plugin related...

A really tiny thing, don't think it's been mentioned:
When dragging and dropping in the materials tabs, the list doesn't scroll when you reach the top/bottom. I wound up unable to drag one of my presets to a material, because it was off screen.

thats right; there is a conflict with hovering/selection handling that causes this, which i wasn't able to solve yet; the tree still accepts mouse wheel scrolling while dragging - as a workaround...

Since the update the Octane Live Database doesn't populate any materials. Nothing is there when I select the Live DB tab.
