Playing with an OctaneMix Material and my preview in the editor isn't updating — in either the pop-up window you get from double-clicking on a material, or the preview in the AM. I can force it to sometimes when rightclicking over the sphere and clicking on Default.
Oddly enough the sphere in my Materials list will update on its own at times.
Is this normal, or am I doing something odd?

which version? did you playing with connected materials or mixmaterial? try to start a render on liveviewer and check again.
What's happening? Mix material and connections is not naturally supported, there is some hacked ways to get worked it. sometimes a problem can be occured due the broken syncronisation with octane material manager. Best way is the restarting a render on the liveviewer

R15.057 with the most recent Stable release — its a Mix Material driven by Falloff with a Glossy and Specular material loaded up. Its not a major problem, just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something simple. The only time it's troublesome is very rarely, the mix material just won't update anywhere but it will render fine. I normally end up saving and restarting when that happens.
I've been reading the Standalone manual as well as the C4D Octane one, and watching as many tutorials as I can get my hands on. Great renderer and excellent job on the C4D version, Aoktar — it's really changing how we approach some of our jobs in the office. Now I just need to find the budget for a few more cards!
