Hey just a little freelance animation I have been working on.

It was really a pleasure to work on because of Octane!
I was responsible for all visual aspects from Design to Compositing.

I used DL Diffuse Mode. On average about 2 minutes per frame @ 2200x1080

Enjoy!

Great work!
Very cute and appealing renders.
How did you manage to get the stop-motion effect? It looks like it is rendered at 18-20 fps.

Congrats

Thanks for the kind words and feedback!

To get the stop motion look is really easy. I just dropped the frame rate to 12. So not only does it have the appropriate effect, I also only have to render half as many frames :)
There is a fair amount of post work as well, grading, atmosphere, DOF, Glows ect. But I have to say Octane makes compositing so much easier because there really isn't a need tweak every pass. It looks so good out of the gate.

Awesome work. Really nice feel to the piece.

Did you manage to render the clouds and smoke stack in Octane, or was this comped?

cheers,

Steve

Thanks!

The Smoke was comped. Its a Turbulence FD sim rendered in C4D internal.

Nice animation. Maybe a bit long for an advertizing. At the beginning I thought it was something about energy...
