Can't decide whether or not this is a bug (Please see attached image). The banding COULD be a sort-of house-of-mirrors reflection of some bright edges, but I don't think I have ever seen this in reality for a simple piece of clear refractive material with parallel faces.

Did you try to reduce specular bounces (dl) or max depth (PMC) ? i think two or three would reduce this "mirror" effect another trick coul be to put less glossiness on second size of your glass...

Wasn't sure. I've noticed two before (one for each side of the glass), but never more.That is the true effect it real life
