Hi guys, this might be a stupid question but i really hope someone could help me out.
so i was playing around with the shadow catcher feature with an environment map and i noticed that when i have a fully reflective object i could see the ground plane with the shadow catching material on the object's reflection.

is there a way to fix this and have only the reflection of the environment and the shadow, instead of the ground plane blocking almost half of the environment?

Yep, I have the same exact problem. Seems like this is the way it works.
It's not properly implemented.

You can achieve this in Maya with a projection node linked to your camera and baking.
