Octane's cameras by default are target oriented. Sometimes this is fine but can also be a hassle, especially when dealing with tracks or trying to do pans.
To turn your Octane Target Camera into a Free Camera:
1. Select it
2. Go to the Motion tab (between Display and Hierarchy tab)
3. Open up the Assign Controller dropdown
4. Click the small icon (hover text reads "Assign Controller")
5. Select the Position/Rotation/Scale controller
6. Enjoy using Octane camera without a target!
