Looks promising so far. Thanks for the great work.
Back and forth should be work, when you check the "Overwirte Existing" under the tab "Project Configuraten" in the group "Project".
I have detected, that the Softimage obj exporter use 2 materials, when a material is shared.
Also, you have a sphere and a cube with mat white. Then, after the objexport, you have white and white1.
If you add a cone, then the sphere has mat white, the cube and the cone white1.
A little bit wired

But attention, you overwrite with that option the Octane materials.
Better is to setup you scene complete in Softimage and then export it to Octane.
For some test you should then use the "Overwrite" function.
If you are lucky with the result in Octane, then you can save the scene in Octane with file -> save.
After that, don´t use the "Overwrite" function.
Then you can click render frame/animation to render.
To stop the animation, press cancel on the renderbar. See the image below.
It can be hidden, while Softimage wait for Octane and the Softimage windows shows like a window that has no response.
Alt+Tab will show it then.
The render in background doesn´t work at the moment with Octane.
The function should work, while the window is reduced. Seems that the window attributes are interchanged.
