Hello,

But I can´t download the demo: http://render.otoy.com/downloads/Octane ... _win64.exe
When I open the link, i get:

The connection to the server was reset.

Hi Jack,

No, sorry, this is not posted anywhere else.
Are you getting this just with our website or is it others as well?

Thanks
Chris.

On a side note and to clarify the mac download link appears to work fine , also the windows links don't work across multiple browsers.

Wow , thanks man. So i may be able to shed more light on this now. Your link downloaded but at the end, the download also failed.

After some digging and fooling around i found the issue. Avast antivirus is openly hostile towards the program. Once disabled the websites download links also worked. Never seen this before with a download. Anyway, better the devs know of the issue.

Here we are using anti-virus software on all PCs, but to make sure that nothing got through I installed a different software and tested the files with that one again and there is nothing. -> It must be a false positive of your anti-virus software.

See that's the thing, at no point did i believe that the program contained a virus payload. And trying to download the file did not throw up any action from avast at all, no indication it was blocking anything which it normally would throw up. It simply prevented the download from working correctly, and when disabled the program could be downloaded and installed. For your records the anti virus was avast free , program version 2014.9.0.2006 (up to date.)

On a side note, been reading through tutorials, this seems like a great program. Will def be buying this in a month or two.
