We did mention those concerns (temperature, memory and - additionally - performance/PCIe, local market and special deals) across the topic as something to take into consideration, but that can't fit all cases.

Also, that rank is Brazilian as of November 2013 (with little differences from USA as I saw on amazon/ebay), but with the xlsx one can get exactly his best option to what he finds available. The 590 should often be better (despite memory factor) IF you can find any. 570 and 560ti (both versions should be as good or better than the 580 performance/price wise). And this is relevant since we are talking about constrained budgets. For instance, if one has $200 (and available PCIe and PSU power), he can buy 2x570 instead of 1x580 for $150.
And as Frank said, if a professional currently can comfortably workaround 1gb, a enthusiast also can. Otherwise one could hit the limit even with 6gb.

and if i am considering this match: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670 4gb vs Evga Gtx 680 2gb? in this case the vram really matters, because i made a comparision in GPU BOSS the 680 wins even the 670 having 4GB. What is the best choice, Im not considering the price. And i use two full hd monitors.

hi there,

the gtx 770 is a rebrand on steroids of the 680, faster and with 4gb of ram, and also it comes at the same price range. If you are looking in that tier of cards i'd suggest the 770 (2 birds with one stone :P); if you have found a good deal for those specific models (680 and 670) it's all about your needs, do you want to be able to build bigger scenes? (more vram) or you are intrested in faster renders? (680)

cheers.

consider the power consumption not only the speed...

wait for the new 780 with 6gb
