Hi all,
here is an ipotetic room that I modeled in 3dsMax and rendered in Octane. I use a gtx 770 + gtx 780ti. Post Production with Photoshop and After effects.
I had to optimize all textures and geometries to work in the limit of 2GB RAM.
I rendered apart the objects in the library (couse of 2GB) and I inserted them in post production.

One quick thing i noticed, is that you used DOF, but your background is nice and crisp. It looks very weird that the posts out the window are blured but the background isnt.

I've rendered two new images.
I have tryed to find a way to speed these renders: I've rendered with Path Tracing kernel in low res (for example 800x500), then I rendered with Direct Light at a higer resolution (for example 2000x1250). In Post Production I've worked to obtain a final image at the best resolution whit the Path Tracing quality. Here is the results:
