slices up render so you can get like 8x the resolution - it's a workaround only working on 3dmax but this could obviously be implemented into octanemax plugin..
- I guess there should be a dedicated 3rd party script or plugin for the octane plugin which enables all of the features yet missing .. this is the drawback of developing for many platforms

Try the following:

- reduce the camera´s FOV to a third, for example 60 --> 20, render, save image
- shift the camera x 1 / y 0 ,render, save image
- shift the camera x 1 / y 1 ,render, save image
- shift the camera x 0 / y 1 ,render, save image
- shift the camera x -1 / y 1 ,render, save image
- shift the camera x -1 / y 1 ,render, save image
- shift the camera x -1 / y 0 ,render, save image
- shift the camera x -1 / y -1 ,render, save image
- shift the camera x 0 / y -1 ,render, save image

-gives you 9 images that can be stitched together to one big image with 9 times the size!
you can do that with as many fragments as you want........

i am curious if you will get what you are expecting....

if region render works like in max, it´s not what i did in the example above.
we would not need a tool like "Slice Render" acc24ex was mentioning.
Region Render helps to focus on a certain "region" of the image and render that region
quicker than the whole image

the point of this one is to use higher resolutions than the limit of 8000x8000.. but with region render it could also work, it seems like the same feature anyway, anyway scripting around it could seem possible unless it becomes a octane feature, thanks for the above info anyway.. there might be problems if you use vignetting or post effects I guess, it might show differences at the edges

in max, render size is limited by the size of the frame buffer,
whatever region you choose within.
So presume max render size will stay 8k x 8k, but you can crop
a certain region for faster render a certain area of your image.

with "my" method you can render images of ANY size.
But you have to stitch.

If you go through the hassle of rendering a 24000 x 24000 image,
you better do the Post Effects and Vignetting in Post.
